hemp tent

Message Forums

Sooo my little eco friendly weekender arrived today. Not being the impatient type I pitched it at 8pm when I got home.

19kg and pretty small pack size..

All laid out ready (decent thick poles, strange bamboo pegs, repair kit etc)

All snuggled in his lovely cannabis coat

Side door tied back

blanket testing for size – Plenty long enough for adults (think dimensions are 2m x 2.9m)

Michella – I know you were asking about using it as a pup tent, don’t think you would have any problems, it’s not massive. And yes would be fine for 3 kids

Plenty of room inside

Sorry kids no camping tonight, work in the morning

supposed to be 4. so me and 2 dogs.

19kg is a lightweight for me

He’s really cute.

Are you going to decorate him with paintings of Marijuana leaves?

Is this for your backpacking trips? – Bet a lot quicker than your purple bell from bag to pitched.

Perhaps I should knit him a little red yellow and green rasta hat.

Didn’t you fancy the hemp tarp to go with it? If I remember correctly it was the same colour wasn’t it?

PS: Forgot to add: Why is it shiney on the inside of the door? Is it coated in something, or is it a trick of the light?

just need to work out if should get a rosas and this tent or have one big tent (superieur 6). like the idea of them being in a seperate tent!
how much did you pay out of interest? wondering if it is better to wait until the end of the season to buy it

Hi I paid 139 for it (they were this price for months and I didn’t think they would actually go up – just seemed an offer that was always on offer!)

Superieur 6 is a nice tent though!

It depends if you want the option of a quick pitch or not?

Quote: Originally posted by Zenobia on 04/5/2011 Sorry to spoil your fun folks, but industrial hemp, grown for its fibre, has a very low tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content. Thought Id better add this info Val, as you may find a certain someone we know munching on your canvas when youre not looking hopefully reading this will put them off

Nah don’t want the tarp, it’s supposed to be an overnighter so quick and easy was the idea. Will take one of the other tents if i need tarps etc

I’m sure you mentioned the shiny surface inside to me when I mentioned getting one. But yes there is a coating on the inside – presumably to waterproof it, altho it does say to weather the tent before use
