I would HIGH-ly (pun intended!) recommend this tour. I went with my husband and two friends, and we all found it extremely entertaining and informative. None of us are, or plan to be, regular users; we were simply interested in learning about the industry – and learn we did! All while having a great time!
It was fascinating to see how pot is grown, harvested, and packaged, in both smokable and edible forms, and it was fun watching pipes and bongs being blown. Even going into our first pot store was a blast. We knew it was legal, but it still felt a little risqué. We loved it!
What MADE the tour, however, were the wonderful people who worked at the facilities – and, of course, David, our tour guide. He was awesome! Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about the industry (and will readily admit when he doesn’t know something), but he’s extremely personable and will do whatever it takes to make sure you have a great experience.
For example, I had really wanted to visit an edibles facility, which had yet to be added to the lineup of attractions. David tried for several weeks to find a vendor who was willing to participate. Literally, the day before our tour, he finally managed to get us access, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our day.
$150 may seem a little steep for a “tourist attraction,” but, trust me, it’s worth every penny!
Chase was an awesome tour-guide for our group last Saturday! We had a wonderful experience visiting a large indoor grow facility, a testing lab, a recreational cannabis trade show, a retail cannabis store and then the amazing Boro School at 7 Points Studio was a great finale to our day! Wishing you all the best success at Kush Tours, we’re talking about doing it again next year to see what destinations you have to offer then.
Oh man where to start…
First let me just say that I and my wife, who took the tour, are not consumers of cannabis because of employer testing. However, if we were, it would have been like going to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.
I talked to Chase about two weeks prior to arriving in Seattle and inquired about a private tour. He informed me that they had just set up an affiliation with a grow operation, Sky High, and suggested that we include that in our package. This was one of the main things that I wanted to see during my exposure to Seattle cannabis culture, so I gladly took his advice. In all, we visited a glass blowing studio, a grow operation, a testing facility, and a retail shop. If we have been consumers we would’ve also visited a lounge where we could have “partaken”. I would say the tour took approximately 3 1/2 to 4 hours, which was perfect.
Chase was knowledgeable, outgoing, gregarious, and genuinely thrilled to show us around Seattle’s burgeoning cannabis culture. I got the sense that he was living out his childhood dream, and you could really tell that he loved every minute of the tour as much as we did.
I really cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Kush Tourism, and the people we met along the way. Everyone we met was so exuberant that it was impossible to walk away from the experience without a huge smile on our faces.
Do yourself a favor, if you’re ever in Seattle take a tour with Kush Tourism.
What can I say other than our tour was EPIC. Firstly our tour guide was amazing, knowledgeable, friendly and so welcoming. The visit to the Boro School and the amazing skills of Danni the glassblower are memories I will take with me forever. She is an incredible artist. The gentlemen of Analytical 360 or Cannabis CSI as I like to think of them are proof you should never judge a book by its cover and their lab is impressive. All in all this was one of the most memorable and interesting things I have ever done and cannot thank you all enough. I recommend that everyone over 21 does a Kush tour regardless of whether you partake in cannabis or not. Its an experience not to be missed
A most unique & memorable informed experience. A great day , A+.
Hands down most informative fun tour in Seattle, great tour guide Chase is the man with the plan. I strongly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a fun filled field trip into the medicinal and recreational sides of Seattle. Completely awesome
The tour was very informative, professional, and entertaining. We loved how smooth the your ran, along with the sight seeing touched with a side of history. It really gave us a great perspective on the city. I would highly (10) recommend the tour to anybody visiting the city of Seattle. Very knowledgeable and professional staff that showed their passion for what they are doing throughout the entire tour. We saw areas of Seattle that we would have never discovered on our own trek.
We found the glass blowing to be very cool, as it was something we have never been introduced to before, so seeing and creating hands on was great. Seeing the city and how locals support the industry was also very cool and surprising. Thank you!!
Chase is very knowledgable on his city and has a plethora of recommendations from restaurants to kayaking. If stopping in Seattle, do yourself a favor and spend a little time with these guys!
Kush Tourism is an amazing way to see and learn about cannabis culture in Seattle! We were visiting from the East Coast and were lucky enough to get a private tour. The tour was as good as it gets — We started at a glassblowing studio where we were able to meet some really talented artists. On top of that, we had an introductory glassblowing class where we got to make our own souvenir – a glass dabber! After that, we met an extraction artist who showed us his top-of-the-line extraction lab, and answered so many questions for us. It was so cool to hear about what these artists have up their sleeves for the future. Also on our tour, we went to a medical marijuana dispensary to see how the entire operation works. We ended the tour at an awesome shop that sold functional glass, as well as clothing and lifestyle goods. It was the best way to round out the tour — we met some really cool people who are interested in encouraging cannabis culture in a great city.
I can’t stress enough that this tour was SO fun and educational. We asked a lot of questions and everyone was so nice and friendly when answering them. Kush Tourism is the best way to experience Seattle and the cannabis industry. We’ll definitely be keeping in touch with them whenever we visit the Northwest!
Thanks so much, guys!
“The tour guide was definitely the highlight of our tour–he was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He made it clear that the central goal of Kush Tours is to educate individuals about the quickly emerging cannabis culture of Seattle.
As I’ve said, I think this is a very good tour, and I’m glad that it is available for our hotel guests. It is very professional and informative. There is no pressure on those taking the tour to consume cannabis if they do not want to, which I think goes a long way in supporting the idea that the tour’s main goal is to provide education about the cannabis industry and culture in Seattle. ”
I just wanted to say thanks again for the tour you took us on on my birthday!
The whole day was so informative and fun.
We really appreciated your insight as to where the industry has been
And where it’s going! I’m glad it’s people like you that are educating the public along the way:)
The tour guide was great! The atmosphere was a welcoming happy one at every stop. Mike seemed to be extremely knowledgeable and very well connected, we skipped the lines at the Cannabis City recreational dispensary (as part of the tour) and a goody bag with munchies was included. This tour made our trip to the cannabis cup complete and we would do it all over again!
“Thanks for superior service during our visit. We had a great time and have already told a couple of friends about the experience. Between you and Daryl at the Bacon Mansion- we’ll just say you guys are the best! We look forward to our next visit to your beautiful city.”
