Ingredients

Milk – I always prefer to use whole milk or full-fat milk, as the result is creamy and rich. But it depends on one’s choice, you can also go for skim milk or low-fat milk.

If you like it to be more creamy, you can also add in some fresh cream in the hot chocolate.

Cocoa Powder & Chocolate Chips – Always go for best quality cocoa powder and chocolate chips, as the taste will differ if you opt for low-quality ones. High the quality of ingredients, rich the taste!

You can also add in white Chocolate Chips or only melted White Chocolate to make a White Hot Chocolate.

Vanilla Extract – There are many vanilla extracts available in the market under different brands, you can use any of them to add in your hot chocolate. Again, the quality you choose, the taste you get!

Water is added to thin it out a little and also so that the cocoa powder and chocolate chips get mixed well and it also saves the milk from getting burnt.

Sugar – You can increase and decrease the amount of sugar, depending upon your taste.

Step By Step Recipe

Press SAUTE in instant pot.

Pour milk, water, sugar and cocoa powder and cook until milk comes to a boil.
